Fortnite Season 8 is here in all its glory. It took a of couple extra weeks thanks to the holiday break and overtime challenge of season seven, but now you can jump right in. Speaking of the overtime challenges, if you completed them before season eight, you can get the full 100 tier season eight battle pass for free. A lot has been happening in season seven to prepare for season eight, including earthquakes, cracks across the land, and the dying/burning or Wailing Woods. All of these events happened for a reason, and the result is clear in the fortnite season 8 trailer.
There is now a big volcano where Wailing Woods used to be, and that includes all new lava, a bay, and other subtle changes in the upper right corner of the Fortnite map. This season is building the battle between the night king and fire prisoner with both lairs on opposite ends of the map. Pirates have also landed in Fortnite in the form of both unlockable cosmetics as well as purchasable items.
There’s a lot to unpack, and the best way is to watch us stream season eight of Fortnite over on Mixer (SecondaryHeroes) starting Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at 7:30PM Pacific, and continuing each night around the same time through the weekend.
